NAFDAC warns against social media impostors
Professor Mojisola Adeyeye, who serves as the Director-General of the National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control, has issued a warning to those who might attempt to use her social media accounts, such as Facebook and LinkedIn, to solicit financial contributions in exchange for employment or other favors.
This information was provided by Adeyeye during a press conference that took place on Tuesday in Abuja.
According to the head of NAFDAC, the organization will never ask for gratification in order to carry out its job.
“There has been a breach of security. NAFDAC and the Director General will never ask for gratification in order to fulfill their mandate.
“Due to the fact that this has occurred, the Director General’s official social media account will no longer be active until further notice.
“Members of the public are hereby encouraged to exercise due caution and report such activity to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission in Nigeria at +2348093322644, or to the Department of State Services in Nigeria at +2349153391309.
