BREAKING: Fire guts Kogi Assembly building
The Kogi State House of Assembly building in Lokoja’s Crusher Area was severely damaged by a fire that broke out in the early morning hours.
The blaze tore through the ceiling of the Chamber, which resulted in significant damage to the floor of the home.
Mathew Kolawole, the Speaker of the House, and Commander Jerry Omodara, the State Security Adviser, were two of the first people to arrive at the Assembly Complex.
No one has been able to identify the cause of the fire as of the time this story was being written.
The Speaker of the Assembly has stated that he has suspicions of sabotage, but he has not provided any information regarding the possible source of the sabotage.
