Apple’s New M2-powered iPad Pro with Wi-Fi 6E starts at ₹81,000
The new iPad Pro is here, and it’s fantastic! The sixth-generation iPad Pro, with an advanced mobile display, pro cameras, and Face ID, as well as new features in iPadOS 16, lives up to Apple’s claim of pushing the boundaries of “what’s possible on iPad, bringing even more versatility, power, and portability to the ultimate iPad experience.”
The newly unveiled device comes in two sizes: 11-inch and 12.9-inch. In any case, the iPad Pro will have a Liquid Retina display, silver and space grey finishes, and storage capacities of 128GB, 256GB, 512GB, 1TB, and 2TB.
With the Apple Pencil, the device also promises a new “hover” experience. According to Apple, the new iPad Pro will detect the Apple Pencil even when it is positioned above the screen by up to 12mm, allowing users to “see a preview of their mark before they make it” and create sketches and illustrations with “greater precision.”
The iPad Pro also has cameras equipped with LiDAR Scanner, including an ultra-wide front camera with Centre Stage. It also has a variety of connectivity options, including Wi-Fi 6E support to give users access to the fastest Wi-Fi connections, as well as Wi-Fi + Cellular models with 5G, which support more 5G networks around the world.
Aside from these features, what makes the new iPad Pro so exciting is that it is powered by a powerful M2 chip. The device includes an 8-core CPU that promises up to 15% faster performance and a 10-core GPU that promises up to 35% faster graphics performance, as well as a 40% faster Neural Engine to accelerate machine learning capabilities.
Aside from these, the iPad Pro has some impressive features thanks to iPadOS 16. Not only does it include updates to Messages, new Mail and Safari tools, the new Weather app, Live Text, and Visual Look Up, but it also includes features like Stage Manager (which will make switching between tasks faster and easier; it will also include full external display support with resolutions up to 6K and work with up to four apps on iPad and up to four apps on the external display later this year) and Reference Mode (where the Liquid Retina XDR display will match the colour requirements in workflow).
However, iPadOS 16 will not be available on the go, and Apple has stated that it will be available on Monday, October 24, and will ship free with the new iPad Pro. It will also be available as a free software update for all iPad (5th generation and later), iPad mini (5th generation and later), iPad Air (3rd generation and later), and iPad Pro models. If you already have an iPad, you can trade it in for credit toward a new one.
Pre-orders for the new iPad Pro begin today in 28 countries and regions, with the device hitting shelves on October 26. The Wi-Fi model of the 11-inch iPad Pro costs $81,000, while the Wi-Fi + Cellular model costs $96,000. The 12.9-inch model, on the other hand, begins at 112,900 for Wi-Fi only and 127,900 for Wi-Fi + Cellular.
