Hugh Jackman Teases Wolverine Return

Hugh Jackman teased his upcoming return as X-Men member Wolverine while wishing Deadpool 3 co-star Ryan Reynolds a happy birthday. Jackman took to social media to demonstrate his singing abilities, serenading a pair of portraits of Reynolds before concluding with one of Wolverine’s most famous lines: “I’m the best there is at what I do, but what I do isn’t very nice.”

Hugh Jackman’s triumphant return as Wolverine was announced last month, rather abruptly, with Deadpool actor Ryan Reynolds sharing a video on his Twitter account. “Hello, everybody. We’re disappointed to have missed D23, but we’ve been hard at work on the next Deadpool film for quite some time “Reynolds started. Reynolds says he has “…nothing” after calling Deadpool 3 “an incredible challenge that has formed me to reach down deep inside.” Yeah. Everything is fine here. And frightening. But we did have one suggestion.”

Jackman, who was thought to have retired after the critically acclaimed Logan in 2017, then appears in the background. Reynolds inquires, “Hello, Hugh. Do you want to play Wolverine again?” And Jackman responds casually, “Sure thing, Ryan.”

Since then, the two have appeared together to answer some pressing questions. “You have some questions,” Reynolds says. “Yes. “I had a lot of questions,” says Jackman. “But don’t worry, we’re going to respond right now.” “Like, how is Wolverine alive after Logan?” Jackman continues.

To a chorus of relieved sighs, Reynolds responds, “Logan takes place in 2029.” Something entirely different. Logan passed away in Logan. “I’m not touching it.” Following a lighthearted battle between Reynolds and Jackman, which no doubt foreshadows some of what will be seen in Deadpool 3, the actors conclude the clip with Jackman saying, “Love you, Kevin Feige.” Thank you very much, MCU.”
